Computational Comparison of Performance of Different Steel Plate Shear Yielding Dampers

چکیده

The computational modeling of hysteretic dampers is a powerful tool for design, allowing us to predict and optimize damper performance. In this research, numerical model, based on Chaboche’s nonlinear kinematic hardening constitutive law, was implemented. parameters law were identified validated by inverse analysis, the macro-hysteretic response hexagonal honeycomb steel damper. model applied simulate cyclic loading behavior five proposed plate shear yielding (SPSYDs), which then used compare performance in terms effective stiffness, damping, energy dissipation capacity. parametric analysis design variables performed SPSYDs demonstrated that depth does not modify thickness most significant factor affecting maximum displacement, endurance cycles. comparison allowed establish guidelines SPSYDs, allow device be adjusted with requirements building it installed.
